Institute of Archaeology of the Czech Academy of Sciences, Prague
The Institute of Archaeology is important archaeological institution, which houses the largest scientific (archaeological) library in the Czech Republic, archives of archaeological reports, photographic documentation, maps and plans and aerial photographs. It publishes professional journals and other publications. The Institute of Archaeology ensures events (such as Open Days, World Archeology Day, Science Week) and lectures for the broad public, cooperates with various museums and organises exhibitions.
Laboratory of Archaeobotany and Palaeoecology
Laboratory of Archaeobotany and Palaeoecology (LAPE) is specialized research body of the university founded in September 2002 at the Faculty of Science, University of South Bohemia as part of the Department of Botany. Since 2014 LAPE is a separate department of Faculty of Science.
Research activity of laboratory members is targeted at the area of bioarchaeology and palaeoecology, namely archaeobotany, archaeozoology, but also other specializations dealing with interaction between humans and environment in history. Bachelor, magister and doctor theses namely in botany, zoology and environmental archaeology are developed within the laboratory. In the case of environmental archaeology, laboratory closely collaborates with the Institute of Archaeology, Faculty of Philosophy. LAPE comprises research in the Czech Republic as well as abroad. LAPE also offers services for other research bodies. Besides consultancy concerning natural sciences in archaeology LAPE provides analytical work in several areas of bioarchaeology.

Mate focuses on the research connected to the Environmental Management and their methods are helpful in understanding long-term changes of various environmental aspects. They are focused on the improvement of the the skills needed to protect the environment and nature, to mitigate the effects of climate change and to halt biodiversity loss, as a global priority, with a values-based approach, identifying the root causes of problems and developing solutions through a holistic approach. These experience might be important thing in the management of the long-term maintenance of the karstic environments.
Department of Archaeometry and Archaeological Methodology Eötvös Loránd University, Faculty of Humanities
Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) is the biggest University in Hungaria and it offers wide variety of different degree programs and has highly specialised laboratorie. One of them is laboratory of Antony Borel situated at the Institute of Archaeology at the Department of Archaeometry. This laboratory is focused on the use-wear analysis which is crucial in the interpretation archaeological record of the hunter-gatherer lithic collections. This topic is generally understudied in Central Europe and collaboration with ELTE will help us to improve awareness of this topic.

It was formed in1953 it is based in Nitra. The Institute conducts scientific and research activities in the scientific discipline Archaeology and in related scientific disciplines. It effectively and creatively contributes to the resolution of theoretically challenging and in practise current scientific issues. The scientific and research activity is developed under the custom scientific and research program, objectives of the grant projects, international projects and individual tasks of creative employees.
